Weight Dispersing and Groundable Bases

The bases are engineered to distribute weight evenly across 201 square inches of surface area. An elevated receiving hub distributes the point loaded weight via a series of metal buttresses that are strategically positioned and welded on to a ¼" thick circular steel plate.

Land and rooftop applications benefit from the weight distribution provided by this innovative design.

Using our standard Stainless Steel Adjuster Leg TM assembly, the top of the platform will have a minimum nominal height of 16". Additionally, with the unique design of the Stainless Steel Adjuster Leg TM, it can easily be adjusted manually or with a common adjustable wrench to a maximum nominal height of 22" to accommodate uneven surfaces.

Unique to the construction industry and a primary feature of the U.S.S. base, an exothermically welded grounding lead is factory installed, allowing the entire platform to be attached to the site's grounding field at multiple points.

Rooftop installations can be completed within hours without the need for costly cranes, welding and roofing crews. The roof membrane is not penetrated nor are adherences made, preserving the roof system's warranty and distancing participants from the potential liabilities associated with the equipment caused roof damage.

For rooftop applications, a separation pad is recommended as an additional protective element for the roof membrane system. (See accessories page for further information)
