Modular Platform Systems

The U.S.S. designed Modular Platform System, featuring 24" x 48", 48" x 48", 30" x 60", or 36" x 72"modular frames, has proven to be superbly adaptable in solving a variety of equipment support applications. These particular models are off-the-shelf ready to ship assemblies that are intended to be transported by just two people. Shipments are typically made within three to fifteen working days. Each Modular Platform System is shipped with a prescribed number of modules and comes with pre-assembled, patented adjustable leg assemblies to accommodate swift on-site setup and installation. In most cases, the modules and grating, when banded together, form a package that virtually eliminates job site waste.

Key Features
  • A network of Modular Frames is bolted together to form a matrix-configured platform.
  • Driven by the unique features of the U.S.S. bases, these platforms are capable of supporting up to tens of thousands of pounds yet are designed to provide weight displacement characteristics of being less than 2 nominal pounds per square inch.
  • Each Modular Frame features ¼" structural steel throughout the framework that is Hot-Dipped galvanized after fabrication.
  • Each Modular Frame contains six pockets (24" x 48", 30" x 60" and 36" x 72) or nine pockets (48" x 48") to receive the pre-assembled, patented adjustable leg assemblies.
  • By using any of the U.S.S. Modular Platform Systems, typical site construction problems can be easily overcome such as: construction delays, roof damage, weather , etc.
  • Each Modular Platform System has component parts that can be easily transported through a roof access point.
  • The U.S.S. Modular Platform System is designed not to penetrate the roof membrane and is not usually attached to the buildings. Other than attaching the equipment to electrical connections, the assembly is not normally tethered in any fashion.
  • The U.S.S. Modular Platform System disperses weight for point loading purposes that are compatible with the guidelines established by the N.R.C.A, including ASTM standards for insulation compression.
  • A properly installed U.S.S. platform should help distance your company from liability exposure created by equipment induced roof failure.
  • Co-location opportunities become achievable and affordable when using the U.S.S. Modular Platform system. At pre-leveled site locations, modules are easily bolted together, the groundable leg assemblies are tied to the grounding field, and the equipment is ready to be set. The existing structures of others are not disturbed and other costly site restoration activities are eliminated.

U.S.S. has the flexibility and capability of manufacturing equipment support platforms in a variety of ways.

Should you be unable to utilize the convenience and economics of scale associated with the usage of the Modular Frame systems' features, U.S.S. will manufacture a custom-made platform for you. Simply submit the dimensions and weight of the equipment you want to support and U.S.S. will design a modular platform to fit your needs. Within weeks custom-made modular frames can be delivered to your jobsite or warehouse location. A forklift, or a crane will be required at the site to unload and/or install the modules.
